Each uniquely themed camp lasts for one week. Camps will be held at Kids Bridge Enrichment Center Monday through Friday from 9 am to noon. Children may be dropped off as early as 8:30 a.m. and must be picked up by no later than 12:30. Each day snacks and drinks will be provided at no additional cost.
Each weeks camp tuition is $150 per child. Sibling discounts are available for families with more than one child attending. Kids Bridge Summer Camp Bundle discount offers the entire 8 week offering for $999.
There are a limited number of spaces available each week, don’t miss out on any of the fun!
Each child will have the opportunity to plan, build and decorate a local town building from a giant cardboard box. They will then simulate the occupation of the building occupants in a live action, interactive game of “Our Town” - participants may include a bank/banker, flower shop/florist, hospital/doctor, grocery store/grocer, automotive/mechanic, courthouse/lawyer, firehouse/firefighter, school/teacher, etc.
Children will be asked to bring in 10 to 20 4x6 printed photos that they will want to create a keepsake scrapbook of. Photos will be permanently mounted onto creative page layouts handcrafted by each child. Specific scrapbook techniques will be taught including cropping, layering, embellishing, blinging, rubber stamping and punching. Materials will be provided. Campers may bring supplies of their own to use too.
Campers will get to create amazing things with food! Each day will have a different recipe or two that can be prepared easily by your child and duplicated at home. There will be nutritional information shared as well as a few “food art” group projects. Of course there will be daily taste testings of each fabulous food creation as well. Be sure to communicate any potential food allergies thoroughly upon registration.
Science can be really cool and fun but sometimes it kinda weird. Campers will participate in daily science experiments that are safe, cool and slightly weird. Some scientific experiments will be done inside the classroom setting and others will be conducted outside the building. Most materials will be provided but campers may be asked to bring in some typical household items for the end of the week extravaganza.
Has your child ever wanted to learn to talk with their hands—now is their chance! A certified American Sign Language instructor/interpreter will share important communication techniques for signing letters, words and phrases. There will also be songs that campers will learn how to both sing and sign that week.
This week of camp will be full of painting projects done with the camper’s fingers and toes! Items such at t-shirts, flower pots, cinch sacks, coffee mugs and other cool stuff will not only be works of art, but also treasured keepsakes for parents and grandparents to enjoy for years to come. Children will want to dress in paint appropriate smocks and flip flops each day as we expect this camp to get a little messy!
Campers will learn all about money and the various ways it can be utilized. Local professionals will share insight into important money matters like savings, investing, accounting and budgeting. Participants will be provided information and resources on establishing a real life savings account that will earn interest. Skits will be performed showing what can happen when good choices and bad are made with money.
Each day campers will get the opportunity to get up close and personal with a different animal who will come and visit the center. Animals will be accompanied daily by a trained adult handler who will provide insight into the animals unique species, breed, etc. Campers will be able to take photos with some of the new animal friends they make. Entertainment will also be provided in the form of animal actors on film.
